The UFC 112 Invincible Results Frankie Edgar Beats BJ Penn and Silva won by unanimous decision. BJ Penn lost to Frankie Edgar in a unanimous decision at UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi, the co-event fight to win the UFC’s lightweight belt. As BJ Penn was the consensus No. 1 lightweight in mixed martial arts and is regarded as one of the top four MMA fighters in the world. Penn had trouble figuring out Edgar’s offense throughout the entire match as Edgar continuously moved around the octagon and changed his attacks. All three judges scored the match for Edgar are Doug Crosby scored it 50-45, Andy Roberts scored it 49-46 and Sal D’Amato scored 48-47. On the other hand Anderson Silva retained his UFC middleweight title with one of the most bizarre fights in the history of mixed martial defeating Demian Maia by unanimous decision at the UFC 112 Invincible main event fight that consisted of Silva landing plenty of powerful punches and kicks but spending more time dancing around and taunting Maia than fighting him. Phis Davis defeated Alexander Gustafsson via Anaconda Choke Submission, 4:55 of round 1
